Balanced Diet

A balanced diet is a way of eating that provides the body with all the essential nutrients it needs to function properly. A balanced diet includes a variety of foods from different food groups in appropriate portions.

The five food groups are:

  5. Fats and oils: While too much of these can be unhealthy, they are important for providing energy and supporting various bodily functions.

To ensure a balanced diet, it is important to eat a variety of foods from these groups and to choose lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats whenever possible. Additionally, it is important to limit processed and high-sugar foods, which can be high in calories and low in nutrients.
